About Gahana
Gahana began as a single bench in Rajan Shakya's family workshop behind Indra Chowk, where his grandfather set stones for the old goldsmith houses. Three generations later the bench is still there, and everything in the case upstairs was made on it: tilhari strung by hand, jhumka raised from sheet, bangles cast and finished one at a time. Every piece is hallmarked, priced by the day's gold rate, and weighed in front of you before it is wrapped.
